What are Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbooks?

Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbooks are genuine Panasonic Toughbook products that have gone through Telrepco’s stringent refurbishment process prior to being offered for sale.

Each Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbook:

  • is fully tested (including full burn-in testing)
  • is refurbished with replacement parts for any defective modules identified in testing
  • is put through a thorough cleaning process and inspection
  • is cosmetically refurbished
  • is repackaged (including appropriate manuals, cables, new boxes, etc.)
  • includes a new installed operating system with COA

Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbooks are in Grade “A”, like new condition.

What Does "new, open box" Mean?

Units that are listed as "new, open box" are new units which, for whatever reason, were sold and had the boxes opened but were not actually deployed. These units are in brand new condition, but because the manufacturer box has been opened we cannot list them as being new. This results in huge savings to you. The warranty on these units may not be a manufacturer warranty for the full duration, in some cases Telrepco will supplement the remaining manufacturer warranty with our own to provide you with the warranty period that we advertise.

What should I expect when I purchase a Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbook?

  • A fully functional unit with complete documentation
  • The assurance that the unit meets Telrepco’s quality standards, and that any defective components have been replaced with fully functioning equivalent components

Can I purchase an Extended Warranty for my Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbook?

Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbooks come with a One Year Telrepco Warranty, unless stated otherwise.

All Telrepco Certified Refurbished Toughbooks come with the option of being covered under warranty for up to three years.

Toughbook Repair

How do I get started with my repair?

To initiate a repair, please compelete our online Repair Request Form, which will be promptly reviewed by a customer service representative. If you would rather speak to someone directly, you can call 1-800-537-0509 or send an email to custservice@telrepco.com.

You will need to provide full model number and serial number (located on the bottom of the unit) as well as a description of the failure. We will then provide you with an authorization number and shipping instructions. Upon receipt of your unit, in-warranty work will be performed. You will be provided an estimate for all out-of-warranty and post-warranty work, which requires approval, prior to any repairs being made.

What if my Toughbook is still under Warranty?

Panasonic Warranty

If your Toughbook is still covered under the original Panasonic Warranty, Telrepco will handle your repairs under the same terms specified in your Panasonic manufacturer warranty, which usually covers freight.

Telrepco Warranty

If your Toughbook is covered under Telrepco warranty, your repairs will be handled under terms similar to those in your original Panasonic manufacturer warranty, which also usually covers freight.

What if my Toughbook is out of warranty?

If your Toughbook is no longer under warranty but needs to be repaired, you can send it in for a diagnostic review. A flat rate diagnostic fee of $120.00/unit, plus parts and freight, will apply. After the diagnostic review, you will receive a repair estimate. At this point you may choose  whether or not to continue with the repairs. If you choose not to follow through with the repairs, the diagnostic fee will still apply.

What if I don't know if my Toughbook is under warranty?

If you’re unsure of whether or not your Toughbook is covered under warranty, please fill out our Repair Request Form. Make sure to provide the full model number and serial number of your Toughbook. This information will allow us to check the status of your warranty.

Toughbook Touchscreen Repair

Can Panasonic do this for me?

Yes. However, the cost will be substantially higher and you will only receive a 30 day parts and labor warranty.

Can I do this myself?

Not recommended. Installing a touchscreen is a difficult process that our techs have been trained to do by Panasonic. Buying the part alone comes with a 30 day warranty covering defects in workmanship. Failure due to faulty installation or breakage will void the warranty.

How do I know if my Touchscreen needs to be repaired?

There are a couple of reasons that you would want to have your touchscreen repaired, including:

  • Cracked touchscreen from mishandling
  • Cursor calibration malfunction (it doesn’t move where it should or freezes on screen)
  • Blurred display image from extensive touchscreen usage
  • Excessive moisture damage

What kind of warranty is included?

If your machine is beyond the manufacturer’s warranty, generally, the touchscreen is also not covered. By replacing the touchscreen with Telrepco you get a 1-year warranty on a newly installed touchcreen.

How do I protect my new touchscreen?

All our new touchscreen installations include a plastic film touchscreen protector. If your protector wears out or is heavily scratched, Telrepco offers replacement touchscreen protectors.

We recommend not using spray cleaners on a bare touchscreen because, in most cases, this will cause damage to the touchscreen itself.

Are you qualified to do this work?

Telrepco technicians have been trained by Panasonic to perform a variety of repairs on various Panaosnic Toughbook models. Telrepco is also an Authorized Panasonic Toughbook Warranty Repair Center.

How long will it take to replace my touchscreen?

Generally, the touchscreen repair/replacement process will take between one and two days. However, if additional issues become apparent, we will notify you of the issues and discuss repair costs.
